Eric’s academic journey is impressive, having earned a Master of Public Health in Management and Leadership from the University of Sheffield in the UK, where he graduated with merit. His final project focused on the factors contributing to the low uptake of skilled birth services in the Krachi Nchumuru district of Ghana. Prior to this, he obtained a Bachelor of Public Health from the University of Ghana, Legon, with first-class honors. His foundational education in public health began with a Diploma in Technical Officer (Community Health) from the College of Health and Well-being in Kintampo, Ghana, where he graduated with credit. Since January 2013, Eric has served as the District Director of Health Services for the Ghana Health Service, initially for the Krachi Nchumuru District Health Directorate and subsequently for the Kadjebi District Health Directorate. He has forged significant partnerships with organizations such as the Korea Foundation for International Healthcare, USAID Systems for Health, PATH, and World Vision, which have collectively enhanced maternal, neonatal, newborn, and general well-being in the district. Eric has also successfully improved infrastructural and equipment needs through effective lobbying and stakeholder engagement and operationalized all CHPS zones in his district to bridge geographical access to healthcare.
