Background

Dr. Francis Amissah is a seasoned healthcare professional currently serving as the District Director of Health Services. His medical education began at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), where he studied from 1991 to 1999, followed by an internship at Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH). With decades of experience, Dr. Amissah has held key positions in Juaboso, Sefwi Wiawso, and Essam, where he has consistently demonstrated leadership and dedication to improving healthcare services. His extensive background equips him to tackle the challenges of public health administration in diverse settings.

In addition to his district responsibilities, Dr. Amissah plays a pivotal role in the implementation of national health policies. He is actively involved in projects aimed at enhancing healthcare delivery across Ghana, including the successful implementation of the Network of Practice project. This initiative has fostered collaboration and knowledge-sharing among health professionals, further strengthening the healthcare system in his district.
