Currently, he serves as the District Director of Health Services at the Asikuma Odoben Brakwa District Health Directorate in Asikuma, a position he has held since September 2022. In this role, he oversees the daily administration of the health system, leads health programs, implements national and regional health policies, and provides expert advice to the District Assembly. He ensures the availability of logistics and supplies to support health facilities within the district.
Prior to this, Cletus served as the Acting District Director of Health Services at the Gomoa West District Health Directorate in Apam, Ghana, from September 2018 to April 2021. His responsibilities included managing the district health system, supervising health programs, implementing policies, and providing logistical support. He played a crucial role in establishing effective monitoring and supportive supervision systems for service delivery in the district.
From April 2015 to September 2018, Cletus worked as a Principal Technical Officer (Disease Control Officer) at the same district health directorate. He led disease control and surveillance activities, coordinated the Expanded Programme on Immunization (EPI), trained health staff and community volunteers, and conducted integrated supportive supervision. His leadership extended to coordinating the District Community-Based Health Planning and Services (CHPS) and District Malaria programs.
Earlier in his career, from November 2010 to March 2015, Cletus was a Senior Technical Officer (Disease Control Officer) at the Gomoa West District Health Directorate. He provided supportive supervision to health facilities, managed vaccine cold chains, trained community-based surveillance volunteers, and coordinated malaria and tuberculosis control programs. His role also involved participating in epidemic preparedness planning to prevent disease outbreaks.
