Overview

All over the years Ketu South Municipal Health Directorate was actively involved in series of activities and programmes to provide quality health services to its people and neighboring countries as they share boarder with Togo. Even though the Municipality was challenged with a lot of issues ranging from late release of limited funds, erratic supply of some logistics and shortage of some critical staff, broken down motorbikes and vehicles, the Municipality was able to work in all the service delivery areas during 2023. Some of the service areas were maternal and child Health Services, Disease Surveillance and Response, Clinical and Specialist Services, Nutritional Services, Reproductive and Adolescent Health Services, Administrative and Transport, Mental Health, Mortuary Services, Port Health, Financial services and Health Promotion.

Ketu South Municipality was one of the districts in Ghana that were affected by severe floods which was very devastating in the year 2024. The floods destroyed properties and displaced several people in the municipality rendering them homeless. The worst affected sub-municipalities were Aflao wego, Klikor, Some Fugo and Some woge.
